The American trio of Aidan Morris, Max Arfsten, and Sebastian Berhalter took part in Middlesbrough’s defeat of George Campbell and West Bromwich Albion in the third round of action of the English Championship.

Boro sits in fifth place in the standings after overcoming West Bromwich Albion at the Riverside Stadium.
Aidan Morris returned to the starting eleven after an injury and played 90 minutes, completing 93 percent of his passes, winning two duels, and making seven defensive contributions. Max Arfsten came off the bench in the first half to play 50 minutes, completing 89 percent passing and making five defensive contributions. Sebastian Berhalter came on at the start of the second half, completing 95 percent of his passes (two of which were key passes) and making two recoveries. West Brom captain George Campbell went the distance to complete 90 percent passing and win four duels.
The action came in the second half when the hosts opened the scoring through Will Lankshear in the 48th minute. Jimmy-Jay Morgan tied the game up in the 65th minute with a header.
However, Middlesbrough restored its lead in the 73rd minute, with Lankshear following up on a save from Berhalter’s attempted shot. Alfie Jones grabbed the insurance goal in the 87th minute to secure the three points.
Middlesbrough will head to Turf Moor to face Burnley, while West Brom play host to Charlton Athletic on Sunday.

Charlton Athletic maintained its undefeated record with a 1-0 win over Preston North End. Charlie Kelman was not in action for the Londoners due to a shoulder injury.
