The new season kicked off in the English Championship over the weekend, as Sebastian Berhalter made his debut for Middlesbrough in their win over Lincoln City.
Middlesbrough 2-1 Lincoln City
An injury-time goal in the second half ensured Middlesbrough of all three points and they came away with their first win of the season over Lincoln City at the Riverside Stadium.
Sebastian Berhalter started and played the entire game, completing 85 percent passing and taking three shots. Max Arfsten came off the bench to play 27 minutes, completing 83 percent passing and winning eight duels.
Lincoln opened the scoring in the 12 minute with a brilliant strike from just inside the 18-yard box.
The hosts turned things in their favor as they went to level the score in the 62nd minute through Will Lankshear. The forward complete the team’s comeback with the game-winner in the first minute of stoppage time.
Boro will head to Ewood Park to face Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
Norwich City 1-2 West Brom
Newly-appointed West Brom captain George Campbell and his teammates got off their season to a positive start as they held for the win agains Norwich City at Carrow Road.
Campbell went on to complete 90 percent passing, win two duels, make six recoveries.
The visitors broke the scoreless deadlock in the 75th minute when Aune Heggebo tapped in a cross. Jimmy-Jay Morgan doubled their lead 12 minutes later with a solo effort.
Norwich cut the deficit in stoppage time, but it was too late to mount anything for a point in the end.
West Brom play at home on Sunday as they welcome Burnley.

In League One, Lyden Gooch played five minutes as Huddersfield Town played with 10 men to secure a 3-0 win over AFC Wimbledon.
Down in League Two, Julian Eyestone was on the bench for Rotherham United in their 2-1 loss to Cheltenham Town.
