Weston McKennie put in a strong performance for Juventus with an assist as they strengthened their hold on a Champions League place in their win over Bologna.
Juventus 2-0 Bologna
Juventus put some distance between itself and Como, as they had no worries against Bologna to record a shutout win at Allianz Stadium.
Weston McKennie returned to the starting lineup after serving a one-game suspension, completing 88 percent passing, winning four duels, making four recoveries, and taking one shot, as he played in central midfield, right wing, and left-wingback.
The hosts opened the scoring very early in the contest when Jonathan David ran onto a cross from Pierre Kalulu and flicked a header past goalkeeper Federico Ravaglia into the goal.
Juventus was in complete control of the game, and should have scored more, but eventually doubled their lead in the 57th minute. McKennie’s cross from the right side found Khephren Thuram to head in.
The Turin side sits in fourth place in the standings with 63 points.
