The January transfer window is only a few days away from opening but it appears that some teams are already looking to make moves as reports have surfaced that Liverpool has their eye on Fulham’s Antonee Robinson to fill a void at left-back.
According to one report, the current English Premier League leaders have reached out to the London-based team to discuss a deal as they are currently experiencing an injury crisis at the position. The regular starter Andy Robertson has been out of action due to a dislocated shoulder while his backup Kostas Tsimikas suffered a broken collarbone.
Without a natural left-back at their disposal, Liverpool have had to resort to dispatching center-back Joe Gomez to fill the void in their previous game, a 2-0 win over Burnley.
The report added that Robinson is open to the move and Liverpool is now working to come up with a decent offer to present to Fulham.
The 26-year-old has been in great form for both club and country in recent months. So far this season he has played 21 games and scored four goals in all competitions for the Cottagers. This led Fulham to sign him to a new five-year contract in July.
