Reynolds Picks Up Injury in Belgium

On loan from AS Roma, Bryan Reynolds suffered an injury Saturday evening during Westerlo’s 1-0 win against Cercle Brugge.

The former FC Dallas product has been having a stellar season for the Flemish team since joining them loan last summer after having spent the previous year with Belgian Pro League side KV Kortrijk.

Reynolds was the victim of Senna Miangue’s horrible tackle in the first half where the defender was shown a yellow card that could have justifiably been red. The American did suck it up and made it to half time. He didn’t come out of the tunnel for the second half.

Westerlo coach Jonas De Roeck said after the game that “we fear a collarbone fracture.”

How long the twice capped US International will be out has yet to be determined. He is likely to not only miss the team’s next game against OH Leuven but also a couple others later in the month.
