Milan 3-1 Inter

Goals in the first half gave AC Milan the win in the Derby della Madonnina over Inter Milan at the San Siro to put them in fifth place in the standings.

Christian Pulisic started and played 82 minutes for the Rossoneri, completing 84 percent passing and taking only one shot. Yunus Musah also played 82 minutes as he completed 95 percent passing and made five defensive contributions.

Milan came out blazing as they opened the scoring in four minutes. Diego Moreira’s cross from the right side found the American unmarked to head the ball in. Adrien Rabiot doubled their lead six minutes later with a chipped shot from a corner kick.

Inter cut the deficit in the 22nd minute with Alessandro Bastoni’s header. However, Milan restored its two-goal lead before halftime when Moreira’s sent a free kick into the back of the net.

It’s back to Europa League action on Thursday as Milan welcomes Ferencvaros.

Juventus 2-0 Napoli

Second-half goals proved to be enough for Juventus as they secured the win over 10-man Napoli at the Allianz Stadium to move them up to seventh place.

Weston McKennie only played the first half for the Bianconeri as he went out due to an abductor injury. He made two key passes and took one shot on the night.

Both sides had chances in the first half, but left disappointed as it remained scoreless.

The hosts finally broke the deadlock in the 70th minute when Kerim Alajbegovic fired his shot from the edge of the penalty area.

Juventus got themselves a man advantage when the referee sent off Napoli’s Luca Marianucci for a second yellow card. This allowed Jeremie Boga to send a right-footed curler into the back of the net.

It’s a trip to the Netherlands as Juventus take on AZ Alkmaar in Europa League action.
