The United States men’s national team received some positive news on Thursday, as it has been placed 14th in the FIFA rankings.

Following a pair of wins over Paraguay and Uruguay during the international break, the team moved to two spots, making it the top of the Concacaf teams. World Cup co-hosts Mexico and Canada rank 15th and 27th, respectively.

The U.S. will continue its preparation for the tournament in March 2026, with games reportedly against Belgium and Portugal.
