Tanner Tessmann was one of the catalysts in Venezia’s promotion to Serie A in the just-concluded season in Italy, but he may move on to bigger and better things as champions Inter Milan have targeted the midfielder for a transfer.

According to various reports, the 22-year-old would not join the Nerazzurri immediately but would remain with Venezia on loan as he is seen as a player for the future. The team currently has a stacked midfield with the likes of Nicolo Barella, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Hakan Calhanogu, Piotr Zielinski, Kristjan Asllani, and Davide Frattesi already on the books.

Venezia currently values Tessmann at around 7 to 8 million euros.

The Alabama native had a strong season for Gli Arancioneroverdi as he played in 37 Serie B games, scoring six goals and adding three assists. He also played an important role for the team in their promotion playoff campaign as he played in all four games and scored a goal.

Tessmann is currently with the U.S. Under-23 men’s national team as they prepare to play in the men’s soccer tournament at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
