Kevin is swapping the German Bundesliga for the Dutch Eredivisie, as it was announced on Wednesday that he has signed with FC Utrecht from Wolfsburg.
The 23-year-old winger has signed a one-year deal with the Cathedral Citizens, with two option years.
Parades signed with Wolfsburg in January 2022 from DC United in a reported 7.35 million dollar transfer. He made his debut in April of that year against Arminia Bielefeld.
As the Virginia native was making inroads with Die Wölfe, he was hit by injuries. He first went out of action in August 2024 with a broken foot during preseason training. This led to surgery on the foot in 2025 after getting injured again, causing him to miss more time away from the field.
After Wolfsburg’s 2-1 aggregate defeat to Paderborn in the promotion-relegation playoff that sent them down to the 2. Bundesliga, it spelled the end of Parades’ time at the Volkswagen Arena as his contract expired.
Despite the setback, Utrecht has allowed the former U.S. Soccer Young Male Player of the Year to get his career on track.
Utrecht finished in sixth place in the Eredivisie standings last season, granting them a spot in the UEFA Conference League qualifiers.
Paredes and FC Utrecht will start the preseason on June 27, with a game against De Graafschap.
