Feyenoord 1-2 PSV

PSV extended their undefeated run as well as their points lead in the standings as they went to De Kuip Stadium and took all three points in their win over Feyenoord.

Sergino Dest started for the Farmers and went the distance, completing 82 percent of his passes, winning two duels, and making two tackles. Malik Tillman came on to play 26 minutes, completing 50 percent of his passes, winning seven duels, and making two tackles while taking one shot and making a key pass. Supersub Ricardo Pepi was left on the bench.

The first half saw both sides playing at a frantic pace as they looked to open the scoring. However, it would remain scoreless as they headed to their dressing rooms.

PSV would then break the scoreless deadlock in the 65th minute when they were able to regain possession of the ball at midfield. Tillman charged towards the 18-yard box with the ball but was brought down. The referee allowed play to continue as the visitors still had the ball which led to Johan Bakayoko lofting the ball into the area for Ismail Saibari to put away.

The league leaders doubled their advantage three minutes later when Olivier Boscagli headed in Joey Veerman’s corner kick.

Feyenoord cut the deficit in the 81st minute through a counterattack with their striker Santiago Gimenez finding the back of the net.

Despite efforts to find the equalizer, it would not come for the hosts as PSV remains perfect this season.

The win leaves PSV 42 points in the standings, ten ahead of Feyenoord.
