Chants of “USA! USA! USA!” could be heard around the stadium as Josh Sargent scored his first, and second goal of the Premier League while Christian Pulisic watched from the bench of Chelsea beat Spurs.
Watford 0 – 3 Norwich
Josh Sargent scored twice in Norwich’s first back to back instance of Premier League victories since 2016 to drag the Canaries out of the relegation zone.
Watford, who are also struggling at the bottom end of the table, had many of the games chances in the first half. Egos collided in the first half between Josh King and Jaoa Pedro, as the pair argued heatedly after a missed shot by Pedro.
The opening goal would come early in the second half as Sargent produced an incredibly improvised finish in the 51st minute.
Teemu Pukki chased down a ball and kept it in, before rifling it near Sargent from only a few yards away. The ball was slightly behind the American, but he threw his leg up behind him to flick it towards the top corner where it bounced down and in.
Sargent would get his second on the night in the 74th minute after a floated Hassane Kamara cross was met by a surging run from the American to thump his header home.
Things went from bad to worse for the home team just four minutes later as Emmanuel Dennis picked up his second yellow card of the night and was sent off, both for reckless challenges. Watford had a flurry of late chances, but weathered the storm to force Juraj Kucka into an own goal in stoppage time.
Norwich turn their attention to Wolverhampton Wanderers on February 5th in more Premier League action.

Stoke City 2 – 3 Fulham
Antonee Robinson and Tim Ream went the distance as Fulham edged out Stoke City on the road.
The night couldn’t have started any worse, or faster, for Fulham as Stoke scored within the first 60 seconds after D’Margio Wright-Phillips snuck in between Ream and Robinson for the opening goal. However, Fulham were not phased as they wasted no time, scoring in the subsequent 60 seconds after a Rodrigo Muniz Carvalho rocket into the top corner leveled the game.
Fabio Carvalho gave Fulham the lead in the 33rd minute after a sweeping attack fell to his feet for a back post slotted goal off the far post and in. Lewis Baker equalized in the 58th minute after a long range shot left the Fulham goalkeeper Jack Bonham stranded.
Bobby Decordova-Reid found the match winner in the 78th minute after a wicked half volley from Muniz’s header which clattered off the crossbar back to the front man. Wright-Phillips, son of Shaun and grandson of Ian, had two more chances in the closing minutes to cap off an incredible performance in only his second start in the Championship.
Fulham are now eight points clear at the top of the Championship, with no sign of slowing down as they take on 12th placed Blackpool on Saturday.

West Bromwich Albion 3 – 0 Peterborough United
Daryl Dike was handed his home debut for West Brom, but sustained an injury in the second half and was forced off the field.
The American had plenty of chances in the opening half, but squandered all of them. His first header spun wide of the far post, and his second attempt was a shot that was put straight at the goalkeeper. His third chance wasn’t as clear cut, but his header wasn’t enough to score.
The goal did come Cedric Kipre in the 78th minute after a flurry in the goalbox saw it ricochet in the Peterborough goal for the breakthrough. The home team went from stride to stride as Karlan Grant added a second in the 85th minute after slotting home in a one on one with the goalkeeper.
Grady Diangana added a third in the 89th minute after a clever take out of the air to find a quality finish in the dying moments.
West Brom sit fifth in the Championship, and face Preston North End on Wednesday.

Swansea 1 – 0 Preston North End
Matthew Olosunde was a 36th-minute substitute for Preston North End after having been on the bench at the start.
Ryan Manning got the game’s only goal in the 51st minute after letting a rocket loose that nearly tore the back of the net off. The action was largely one way, but Swansea were only able to score the solitary goal, which was enough for the win.
Olosunde will hope to keep his place in the team as Preston North End turn their attention to West Brom on Wednesday.
