YA’s Best XI: Oguchi Onyewu waiting to answer your questions

Considered to be one of the USMNT’s best ever central defenders, Oguchi Onyewu played for the Nats 69 times where he won two Gold Cups and represented the USA in the 2006 and 2010 World Cups.

During his stellar career, he won back-to-back league titles with Standard Liege where he was also named to the league’s Best XI and voted best foreign player.  He plied his trade with teams such as AC Milan, Newcastle United, Sporting Lisbon and Philadelphia Union.

Onyewu retired in 2018 but has stayed closed to the game.  He recently took up the post of Secretary General of Royal Excelsior Virton in the Belgian Second Division.

Now it’s your turn to ask the man himself any question that you wish, as Guch has agreed to field your questions for Yanks Abroad’s Best XI feature.   All you have to do is pose your question and include your name and your home town.  Then send it to Yanks Abroad at media.yanksabroad@gmail.com or via messenger on the YA Facebook page.  YA staff will choose the Best XI for Guch to answer. The deadline for submitting your questions is September 16th so don’t delay, send them today!
