Wolverhampton Wanderers has agreed to terms with Club Brugge of the Belgian Pro League for Owen Otasowie, and the former West Ham United youth player should join the Belgian champions within the next 24 hours.

According to reports, the 20-year-old has signed a four-year contract that runs until the end of 2025.

Otasowie, a 6’2” midfielder, represented the USA Under-18s and later made his debut for the senior team last November when he was substituted in for the friendly against Wales that ended in a 0-0 draw.

Otasowie made his first-team debut for Wolves in December 2019, in a Europa League clash against Besiktas.

He finally made his maiden Premier League appearance a victory over Chelsea last December when he came on as a substitute.

Club Brugge’s title has given them a slot in the upcoming UEFA Champions League group stages, which will start next month.

Otasowie becomes the fourth American in Belgium’s top flight, joining Chris Durkin of Sint Truiden, Mark McKenzie of Genk, and Sam Vines who recently signed with Royal Antwerp.
