The Yellow Submarine couldn’t beat Elche at home on Saturday despite their 16 attempts. Alex Freeman played the full 90 minutes and had four defensive contributions, two interceptions, 11 recoveries, and received a yellow card in the 81st minute.
Villarreal drops to the 12th position and will visit Mestalla to face Valencia next weekend right after their crucial game against Anfield in the Champions League.
