Christian Pulisic played his first Serie A game of the season for AC Milan as he came off the bench to record an assist in their tie with Lazio.
Lazio 2-2 Milan
Milan dug themselves a hole in the first half, but turned things around to the stronger side in the second as they fought their way to earn a point against Lazio at Stadio Olimpico.
Christian Pulisic played the entire second half for the Rossenori, making four key passes and taking one shot on goal. Yunus Musah also played the second half to complete 91 percent passing, win four duels, and make two defensive contributions.
The Rome side opened the scoring after 10 minutes of play and continued their dominance 29 minutes later to double the lead.
Milan head coach Ruben Amorim made several changes for the second half, and it worked out well to get his team back into the game.
Pulisic, who Amorim expressed before the game that the American forward had been upset about playing time, came through to assist on Milan’s first goal in the 65th minute. A high cross from the right side of the 18-yard box found his teammate Diego Moreira, who volleyed it into the back of the net.
The Belgian midfielder leveled the score two minutes later. Musah’s cross found Adrien Rabiot, who then left it for him to fire the ball into the goal from the edge of the area.
Milan start their Europa League campaign on Wednesday when they face Benfica.
Notes
