Auston Trusty was in action for Celtic over the weekend as they came from behind to retain the Scottish Premiership title in a win over Hearts.

Celtic 3-1 Hearts

Celtic remained the champions of Scotland as it came away with a win over Hearts at Celtic Park in a sensational final day of the season.

Auston Trusty started and played 73 minutes for the Hoops, completing 92 percent passing, winning seven duels, and eight clearances.

The visitors, who were atop the standings for 250 days, opened the scoring in the 43rd minute when Lawrence Shankland headed in Stephen Kingsley’s corner kick. However, they conceded a penalty minutes later when the referee called a handball in the area. Arne Engels stepped up to convert the spot kick to level the score.

It was tense second half for both sides, but the hosts took the lead in the 87th minute. Daizen Maeda was on the spot to steer Callum Osmand’s low cross into the goal. The Welshman followed through with Celtic’s third goal in stoppage time as he was given all the space in the world to dribble down the field to put the ball in.

Trusty and his teammates will have a chance to complete the domestic double on Saturday when they face Dunfermline in the Scottish Cup Final.
