While the Premier League may have gotten underway last weekend, Yanks in the Football League grabbed the headlines. Haji Wright and Josh Sargent came up big for their clubs, while Gabriel Slonina impressed in League One.
Antonee Robinson went the distance for Fulham in their 1-0 defeat at Manchester United. The lone goal of the game came late on from United new boy Joshua Zirkzee down Robinson’s flank.
Chris Richards was pulled off in the dying minutes as Crystal Palace chased the game against Brentford, ultimately losing 2-1 away from home.
Tyler Adams and Matt Turner did not suit up for Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest, respectively.
While there was not much of note for Premiership Americans, the Championship saw goals, assists, and plenty of minutes for our Yanks Abroad.

Josh Sargent was the hero for Norwich City, notching a goal and assist in a 2-2 draw at home to Blackburn Rovers. Sargent was subbed off with just over 10 minutes to go, and is rumored to be headed to the Premiership in the coming days.

Brenden Aaronson was a 64th-minute sub for Leeds United who faced off against West Bromwich Albion. Daryl Dike remains missing from the fray for WBAas he recovers from injury, the game ending 0-0.
Lynden Gooch went 63 minutes for Stoke City, who lost 3-0 away from home to Watford.
Aidan Morris started and went 68 minutes for Middlesbrough who ultimately lost 1-0 away from home at Derby.
Duane Holmes was brought on in the 72nd minute for Preston North End who lost the game 3-0 to Swansea City away.
Auston Trusty was on the bench for Sheffield United, while Reggie Cannon did not feature for Queens Park Rangers. The teams battled it out to 10 v 11 at the end, finishing 2-2.
Life in League One was also lively with all five Yanks in the division getting the start.

Donovan Pines and Gabriel Slonina got the start for Barnsley and went the distance in their 2-1 win over Lincoln City, with Slonina making an impressive five saves to help secure the win.
