There were three Yanks in action in the Premier League this weekend, but no points earned in tough contests all around. View all the action and watch the highlights below.
Manchester City 2 – 0 Nottingham Forest
Matt Turner was in between the sticks for Nottingham Forest who were beaten by 10 man Manchester City on the road.
To be fair to Forest, the red card came well after City had taken hold of the game, with Phil Foden scoring in just the seventh minute of the game. The play started in the midfield, with a long ball out to Kyle Walker laid off for Foden at the top of the box for a smashing shot.
Erling Haaland rose to the top in the 14th minute to put the nail in the coffin for City. The ball from the edge of the box was cut back across the six yard box for the front man to head the ball back the direction it came from giving Turner no chance.
Turner had a number of saves, but the front men couldn’t get past the City back line. Just after the start of the second half Rodri went into a tackle in the corner, with Rodri losing his mind and going at Morgan Gibbs-White. After a bit of pushing, Rodri put his hands around the Forest players neck, a straight red card.
Forest sit in 12th place in the Premier League, and play host to Brentford on Sunday.

Crystal Palace 0 – 0 Fulham
Chris Richards was dropped to the bench for Crystal Palace while Tim Ream and Antonee Robinson went the distance for Fulham.
The play was generally even throughout much of the first half, with Ream picking up a yellow card in the 16th minute. Schlupp had gotten free in the final third and the American fouled him to stop the attack, resulting in a free kick.
The two squads are locked with eight points each, with Crystal Palace edging Fulham out for 10th place on goal difference. Palace face Manchester United in the League Cup on Tuesday, while Fulham face Norwich on Wednesday.

Notes:
Tyler Adams is still on the injured list for Bournemouth lost 3-1 away at Brighton. Auston Trusty was an unused substitute in Sheffield United’s unfortunate part of a record breaking blow out by Newcastle United, with a scoreline of 8-0.
