Six out of the Nine Americans competing in the Carabao Cup First Round were knocked out, only two starting for their respective teams.
Bradford City 2 – 1 Hull City
Vaughn Covil got the start for Hull City in the Carabao Cup first round, a competition that they won’t go further in after a narrow defeat to League Two team Bradford City.
Goalkeeper Harry Lewis was credited for an own goal in the 24th minute after a cannoning shot from long range.
However, Bradford City battled back through an Andy Cook brace in the 39th and 44th minutes to secure the win. The first was a clinical header from six yards out but his second was a classy finish from 12 yards out, a one touch finish past the Hull keeper.
Covil will hope to keep his starting spot on Saturday when Josh Sargent and Norwich come to town.

Charlie Kelman was a 58th minute substitute as League Two outfit Leyton Orient was knocked out of the Carabao Cup by League One side Forest Green Rovers.
Armani Little was a little too strong for Leyton Orient, bagging a goal in either half, the first in the 17th, and the second in the 50th minute. The #10 found himself alone in the center of the box for a first touch finish, while his second goal was from the edge of the area, a side footed shot past the keeper.
