USA moves in top 10 of FIFA rankings

After an excellent summer for the US Men’s National Team where they won both the inaugural Nations League and then the Gold Cup, the Americans find themselves breaking into the top 10 of the latest FIFA rankings.

The Yanks actually jump up 10 places after their successful summer but for some reason, neighbors Mexico, who were beaten by the Red, White, and Blue in both finals, find themselves one place higher than their northern neighbors, in the ninth spot.

It’s quite an honor for Gregg Berhalter and a testament to his successful rebuilding of the Nats seeing his team break the top 10 for the first time in 15 years,

Belgium remains in the number one spot, even after losing their Euro’s semi-final to eventual winners Italy and still haven’t won a major trophy.  Olympic Gold Medalists Brazil move up into the second spot, although they lost their Copa America final to Argentina, with France, England, and Italy rounding out the top 5.
