English Recap: Robinson Keeps the Flame Burning for Americans in the Prem

Antonee Robinson continues to be the lone bright spot for Americans in the Premier League, while Charlie Kelman continued his heroics in League One.

Antonee Robinson went the distance for Fulham in their 1-1 home draw against West Ham. The point keeps them in 12th place in the Premier League.

Tyler Adams has yet to feature for Bournemouth this season as he recovers from an injury. The team lost to Chelsea by a 1-0 margin on Saturday.

Chris Richards and Matt Turner were both on the bench for Crystal Palace who drew 2-2 at home to Leicester. The draw keeps them in 16th place in the Premier League.

Life in the Championship saw several Americans getting play time with Brenden Aaronson leading the way. Aaronson got the start for Leeds United who fell 1-0 to fourth placed Burnley.

Lynden Gooch was able to play the last 33 minutes for Stoke City, but unfortunately it wasn’t enough as they fell away to Oxford United 1-0.

Haji Wright returned from International duty and was a second half sub for Coventry City, who drew 1-1 to Watford away from home. The point sees them jump up to 14th place.

Josh Sargent went the full 90 for Norwich City in their narrow away loss to Swansea. The squad is now in 15th place and looking a long-shot for promotion.

Duane Holmes got the final 22 minutes for Preston North End in their 1:1 draw away to Middlesbrough. Aidan Morris was on the other side of the action for Middlesbrough, getting the final 12 minutes of the match. The point sees Preston North End stay in 21st place, while Middlesbrough dropped from seventh to 10th place. 

Daryl Dike is still sidelined for West Bromwich Albion after his achilles surgery. The team is performing well in his absence with four wins in their first five, having destroyed Portsmouth by a 3-0 scoreline over the weekend.

Ethan Horvath was dropped to the bench for Cardiff City after conceding nine goals in their opening four matches. The team lost 1-0 and is in last place.

League One saw five Yanks notch minutes, with Charlie Kelman netting a game-winning goal.

Jeremy Kelly played the full 90 minutes for Crawley who notched a 1-1 draw against fourth placed Stockport. The point stalled a two game losing streak, but dropped them to 13th place.

Gabriel Slonina went the distance for Barnsley in their 3-0 away loss to Stevenage. Donovan Pines however was pulled off at half time with the score sitting at 0-0. The loss knocked their side down to seventh place.

Nick Akoto played 32 minutes for Burton Albion in their 2-2 draw away at Rotherham. His side are now 20th in the table after their fourth draw of the season.

Kelman played the full 90 minutes for Leyton Orient, notching the game winning goal in their 1-0 victory away to Reading. The three points take them into 22nd place in the table.
