Christian Pulisic continued his heroics with a goal against Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United, the first time he’s earned back to back starts since March.

Leeds 0 – 3 Chelsea

Christian Pulisic started for the second game in a row, continuing his solid performances at the tail end of the season against 10-man Leeds United.

The scoring started just four minutes into the game with Leeds was on the back foo. Mason Mount arrived late in the box for Reece James to find him as the English international thumped the ball into the back of the net. The game was turned on it’s head when Dan James was shown a straight red card for a harsh tackle, giving Leeds a massive hill to climb.

Pulisic had an early chance to produce an assist before getting thwarted at the goal line by the Leeds goalkeeper (eventually called offside in the build up). Romelu Lukaku also had a goal pulled back for being offside. The American turned good however in the 55th minute, given the time and space at the top of the box after a clever Chelsea build up. Pulisic’s shot was with his left foot.

Lukaku would eventually get his goal in the 83rd minute, muscling off multiple defenders before smashing home.

Chelsea stay in third place in the Premier League, and face off against Liverpool on Saturday in the FA Cup.
